Our publishing headquarters encompasses three old brick buildings built in the 1870s by Territorial Governor John Pennington. You'll find us at the far east end of downtown Yankton on 3rd & Pearl.
Bi-monthly publication explores the art, culture, food, history, outdoors, people and places of South Dakota.
South Dakota Magazine was founded in 1985 by Bernie Hunhoff, and is headquartered in one of South Dakota's most historic buildings - the brick home built by Territorial Governor John Pennington in 1875.
We are here to explore the wonderful, unique people and places of our favorite state. We're thankful for our readership and the special relationship we share with them. When they call to renew their subscription, they often ask about the weather in Yankton or say hello to our current publisher, Katie Hunhoff (Bernie's daughter). They share story ideas and let us know about interesting places around the state.
That personal relationship is why South Dakota Magazine is a great opportunity for advertisers. Our readers trust us to present them with the best of South Dakota - and we strive to do just that. Subscribe to the South Dakota Magazine or order a gift subscription for only $25 per years, 2 years for $45 or 3 years for $59.
