  • Volunteer Receptionist

    The duties of the Volunteer Receptionist are primarily public relations and clerical in nature. This position’s objective is to expedite the flow of work, traffic, office procedures, and outbound mail in an efficient and effective manner. The role is to create a positive image at all times consistent with the goals and the mission of the Yankton Chamber & Visitors Bureau.

    • Responsible for incoming calls, transfers, walk-ins, process procedures for all member and visitor related areas. 
    • Assist with the marketing of the Chamber, members, non-profits and community events and programs through the use of the local access channels. 
    • Assist Chamber employees with day to day operations, special projects and events. 
    This is a volunteer position.  Hours are flexible, primarily M-F from 2-5pm.  Volunteers can work as little as 3 hours per week up to 20 hours per week.
