Public Policy

The Public Policy Form is used by the Chamber to collect information that will assist in making a decision on support of a business advocacy effort. This form may be used for local, state, and national issues.

The Chamber follows a process for evaluating policy requests; therefore complete information received in a timely manner is appreciated. Upon receipt of a Public Policy Form follow-up contact will be made by Chamber staff or members of the Governmental Affairs Committee to discuss the request and the next steps in the process.

The Chamber takes the position to support its membership through the tracking of local, state, and national legislation that affects its members, and to promote positive regulatory action in the following areas:

    • Agricultural issues

    • Economic Development

    • Educational funding

    • Fiscal responsibility at all levels of government

    • Infrastructure issues

    • Quality of Life issues
